FISHING AT HORSETHIEF RESERVOIR
The water level is at nearly 40% capacity even with the severe drought. Fishing has been slow to fair with catfish being the primary fish caught. The water temperature is warm so early morning and nights have been the best for fishing. Some large-mouth bass have been caught on the cooler mornings. All in all, even with the extreme temps and drought, fishing has been better than one would expect.
Bow fishers have been having very good luck arrowing carp in the creek channel and mud flats.
